Although it went up in May, consumer confidence has fallen back down to previous levels. One index placed consumer confidence at -47 on a -100 to +100 scale, reported ABC News.

Porsche is still looking for ways to seal its merger with Volkswagen. The company is now trying to get money by having Qatar invest in it. A Volkswagen spokesman told The New York Times that VW wants to “create an integrated group of 10 brands, including Porsche.”
- Treasury Notes Increase After Record-Tying Three-Year Auction
The Treasury is auctioning $35 billion of three-year securities, tying a record set by an earlier auction. Bloomberg reported that the auction went very well.
- High Gas Prices Could Slow Recovery
The steadily rising price of gas may hinder the economic recovery. The New York Times reported, “Gas prices have risen 41 days in a row, to a national average of almost $2.62 a gallon.”
- Chrysler Hands Keys To Fiat
After being stalled on Monday, the Chrysler-Fiat sale is now “a done deal,” reported CBS News. The Supreme Court rejected an appeal, on Tuesday that would have prevented the sale.
